Our Application to Change Palm Pre SMS Ringtones and Alerts
Apparently, some people wanted to see the actual standalone app we made to change ringtones for SMS and Email. So we made a vid of the one that’s installed on my Pre, instead of the one hacked into the Sounds and Ringtones section. The plan is to expand that app to include more functionality. We’re also busy working on getting the repository app working; which shouldn’t be too long now. So start getting wallpapers together and, as a preview of what it can do, get some icons ready to build your own themes.
Sorry – we can’t install this app on your pre — YET! But an installer can’t be far behind with how quickly we’re working.

Well, I’m working, coding this, testing and trying to keep up with the site. My brothers in arms are out of town, so *hopefully* I can have something today.
where do i go to put wav files for my new pimpmy pre notifications ? any suggestions?
Any sound folder – it’ll check your ringtone folder first, so there is fine, but if you click the little plus sign thing at the bottom left when it’s showing your ringtones, you pre will show you every available sound file.
it saids current folder is empty ? do i have to download sum.. ?? where can i get them per sya the south park one you had on the youtube video.. Thanks much
it should show your ringtones – click the notification link, then you’ll see a list open – if it’s empty, click on the icon on the bottom left of the link and you should see your ringtones. In USB mode, put some wav files in that folder.
I got the south park one here – but it’s not very fitting since a notification goes off for everything – not just mail.

i tried to download this pimp my pre,but it keeps opening page after page of blank.then asks if i want to put unopenable files in spare memory?

This app should not be needed anymore because Palm updated their software to allow for different sounds for sms and email.
Oh, this is perfect. I can’t wait for it to be available (again).
Any one have a release date on this app or am I just missing something?
This was the first ever home brew application and it’s not really needed anymore. The Palm webos software now has its own native ways to change the sounds.
