Has the Palm Pre really fizzled? (See article)
Persoanlly, I see it as a sign of the times – the economy sucks and people aren’t willing to break their contracts when their carrier will probably get the phone in 6 months. Also, the reports of limited quantities probably hurt Palm and Sprint by keeping people away. Who wants to stand in line and NOT get the phone?
I do agree that the inaccessibility for developers is hindering the Pre, but we’re getting around that – slowly.
Thoughts?
I am new to this site. I am a member of other Palm Pre sites though. Has the Palm Pre fizzled? Heck NO! I think Palm has brought us a great phone. Are there some issues? Yes of course there is just like any other phone that comes out at first. But I think the phone is great and so do a whole lot of other people
I agree, the Palm Pre is a solid phone with some issues out of the gate, but nothing that hinders it’s overall performance. Having sold over 150,000 in just a few short weeks even with the limited distribution and not allowing their own employee’s to purchase one, it is doing well.
I cant get enough of my pre! I think this is a strong competitor given the times for Palm but I believe it will knock a few others out of the park for sure! I just got my pre about a week ago and I find myself finding new things to do with it. Cant wait for more stuff to come out. I didnt have to wait at all to get mine, went in bought it and walked out. Got lucky it sounds like lol
