  • This is a great app but I have a suggestion . it is a bit frustrating when using this at time . let me explain ,when you go to view an app and then want to go back to the list you were just viewing , it automatically goes back to the very 1st page of the apps you were viewing ? This gets to be annoying especially when viewing wallpapers , when it goes back to the beginning you have to scroll through all those pages again to get to where you were . Is it possible to make the back gesture return to where you were instead of all the way to the beginning ?? Just a thought

  • You read our minds. That feature(read: necessity) is in the works right now. We noticed that too. Not that our searches for half-naked celeb wallpapers were annoying to go back through say the 3rd or even 12th time, but still, we feel your pain and will be fixing that soon hopefully!

  • I don’t have vista, but I’m sure one of our beta testers did. Did you put your phone into developer mode? That could cause this problem, if you didn’t.

Luckily you’ll only have to do this once. Sorry.

  • jdowner on August 5th, 2009 at 9:48 pm
  • I’m not sure what step you’re on. If you’re in developer mode, use your usb cable and plug your Pre into your PC. Choose Just Charge on the Pre screen.
Install the webos quick installer and use the green plus sign to find the ipk file you downloaded. Click install. Unplug your Pre. Go back to developer mode and turn it off – then you’re done.

Click on the link for the pre central forum and see if there is a newer version. I will too when I get a chance.

oh yeah and developers mode is on

  • mict357 on August 11th, 2009 at 4:45 pm
  • What system are you running? If it’s a 64 bit system, mrieger is posting something in the forums about what to do.

  • admin on August 11th, 2009 at 7:29 pm
  • can i get a link on where this post is?

  • mict357 on August 11th, 2009 at 7:46 pm
  • He’s looking for the link – here’s a couple things to try.

Make sure DevMode is enabled and that when you plugin the device, you choose “Just Charge”

On webos quick install go to File->Options and make sure your Pre is chosen.

On Windows, it’s possible Novacom may be installed but not active.

Go to StartMenu->Run… and enter “services.msc” and hit “OK”
Look for an entry “Palm Novacom” and double click
Press the “Start” button if you can and for “Startup type:” choose “Automatic”

  • i just got the phone but i got a mac book are these codes gonna work on my mac???????????? cause so far its not, does anybody know????

  • chupi on August 23rd, 2009 at 12:10 am
  • Do you have the SDK, and emulator installed? (If youi don’t kno wwhat those are you don’t have them). If you do, no need to run them, just open up terminal and type in palm-install and drag the ipk file into terminal and it should appear, and then hit enter. The Pre must be plugged in and in just charge mode.
