1.4.5 x 2 = another flock of Angry Birds
With the arrival of version 1.4.5 of webOS for most webOS phones, a host of new games created using the PDK development environment are now accessible to most webOS customers. The update became available last night for Palm Pre and Pre Plus on Verizon and AT&T. (The update is installed via a free over-the-air update. For those of you who don't yet have 1.4.5, stay tuned.)
With the update, you'll see new titles in the App Catalog, including such addictive titles as the top-selling mobile game Angry Birds from Rovio Mobile, which released its smash hit game Angry Birds on webOS ahead of...certain other platforms. (Watch this installment of our developer podcast to hear how the enthusiasm of the webOS community encouraged Rovio Mobile to "get it done fast" -- which was "very very easy," taking only a few days thanks to the PDK.)
