Angry Birds: Update from the front
Fans of the avian bombardiers that go by the name of “Angry Birds” will be thrilled to hear that there’s a new free webOS update to the amazingly addictive game that pits fowl against swine (though perhaps “fowl” isn’t the right word as it technically implies a domesticated bird, which these fierce feathered creatures definitely are not). The v1.4.2 update for webOS is now available for download with the latest levels and features.
If you somehow haven’t yet discovered this incredibly popular game from Rovio, now’s a great time to see for yourself why it’s one of the most popular games out there. In fact, this Saturday (Dec. 11) is Angry Birds Day. Fans all over the world will be coming together in flash mobs to celebrate their favorite birds (as of this posting, there were 735 meetups scheduled across 83 countries). Check one out and I’m sure you’ll find lots of volunteers who will happily tell you why Angry Birds is their favorite mobile game.
If you happen to be looking for that perfect gift or stocking-stuffer for the Angry Birds fan in your life, Angry Birds plush toys are now available.
And if this holiday season you’re simply wishing for good will among animals, know that there are peace talks in the works. Unfortunately, they don’t seem to be going well… which probably means a Happy New Year for fans who are looking forward to more Angry Birds fun in 2011.
